Situated at the base of the San Jacinto and San Gorgonio Mountain ranges, Indian Canyons Golf Resort is truly an oasis in the Palm Springs area. After years of neglect, the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians interviewed more than ten companies as part of the process that led them to hire Casey O’Callaghan Golf Course Design, Inc. Casey’s vision for the course was to create a beautiful and golfer-friendly resort golf course. To accomplish these goals, the entire golf course was rerouted and approximately 300,000 yards of dirt was balanced on site to turn a flat characterless property into a beautiful and gentle rolling oasis in the desert. The new course includes three new lakes, a new irrigation system, and all new golf course features. The rerouting of the course now provides views from the clubhouse of the beautiful ninth and eighteenth greens which are protected by a serene lake setting. The South Course has been a favorite of golfers in the greater Palm Springs area since its re-opening in 2004.
